Bettering the Breed

Top-Quality xl American Bullies

In today's fast-paced world, the American Bully industry stands as a beacon of passion, dedication, and, unfortunately, intense competition. As someone deeply involved in this community, I've seen the beauty of the breed and the challenges that come with maintaining its integrity and welfare. This journey isn't just about producing champion dogs; it's about fostering a genuine love for the breed and ensuring their well-being, even when the spotlight fades.

Welcome to Florida Pit Crew Foundation!

Founded in 2022 and based in Southwest Florida, our mission is to advocate for and support American Bullies and other breeds often deemed dangerous. Bringing over a decade of experience in dog behavior and a lifelong passion for all breeds.

FPCF specializes in the behavioral nuances of American Bullies and has become a leading voice for these incredible dogs on a global scale. Forging connections with veterinarians and rescues worldwide, working tirelessly to combat breed-specific legislation and promote understanding and acceptance of these misunderstood breeds. In collaboration with top breeders and tier-one kennels across the country, Florida Pit Crew also offers stud services to approved breeders. Distinguishing not merely as a breeder but as a visionary dedicated to creating dogs that embody our ideals, placing them in loving family homes. We believe that showcasing these dogs helps advocate for their amazing qualities, including their size, intelligence, and loving nature.

When attending ABKC events, we don't go for trophies or to claim the title of "best dog"—because we believe every dog is exceptional in its own right. Instead, we participate to highlight the true essence of American Bullies, demonstrating their remarkable qualities and the positive impact they can have as family companions.

At the Florida Pit Crew Foundation, we strive to educate, advocate, and unite dog lovers everywhere. Join us as we work to ensure that every dog, regardless of breed, receives the love and respect they deserve!

Embracing the Journey: The Reality of Working in the American Bully Industry

01

Promotiong Ethical Practices

As breeders and enthusiasts, we have the power to influence the industry positively. By promoting ethical breeding practices, prioritizing health and temperament over mere appearance, and fostering a supportive community, we can ensure the future of the American Bully is bright. This includes conducting thorough health screenings, maintaining transparent breeding records, and providing lifelong support to puppy buyers.

03

The Consequences of Competition

In the heat of competition, some breeders lose sight of what truly matters. Dogs that don't meet the stringent standards of the show ring or breeding programs are often deemed "no good" and, heartbreakingly, abandoned. This practice not only tarnishes the reputation of the industry but also leads to an increase in homeless dogs, many of whom end up in shelters or, worse, are euthanized.

02

The Competitive Landscape

The American Bully industry has grown exponentially in recent years. With this growth comes a wave of competition, each breeder striving to produce the next big winner. This drive can bring out the best in us, pushing for excellence in breeding practices, health standards, and care. However, it also has a darker side, where the desire to win can overshadow the fundamental principles of responsible breeding.

04

A Call For Responsible Breeding

It's essential to remember that being a breeder comes with immense responsibility. Every puppy brought into the world deserves a chance at a happy, healthy life. This responsibility doesn't end when a dog no longer serves a competitive purpose. We must ensure that all dogs, regardless of their show potential, are treated with the love and respect they deserve.
